Operational performance and generating profit is the pathway to having financial options.This workshop will look at what is being achieved by top performers in our region and the key drivers of operational performance. (This workshop links with the succession workshop.)
Future proofing dairying in Taranaki: research from Dairy Trust Taranaki. Transitioning to autumn calving and living with FEI limitations—this workshop will review the biophysical and economic impacts of the system changes , as well as discussing the future challenges dairy will face in the region.
Succession: where to start when you want to get started. Getting into business is easier than getting out, and transitioning presents a number of challenges. This workshop will focus on the communication required to allow for succession, first understanding yourself and how you influence others, and then the dynamics of understanding the needs of all the parties involved for a successful outcome. (This workshop links with the building a strong business session.) Please note that this workshop runs only once, and is available in the second session.
